Free Car Damage Estimate From a Photo | Cyprus

Photograph the damage, upload up to four shots to our free AI damage estimator, add your car's make, model and year, and you get a costed repair range back in about a minute. No visit, no phone call, no obligation. Pinelaki has been mixing and matching car paint in Nicosia since 1991.

Can I get a car repair estimate from a photo?

Yes. The estimator runs in three steps and none of them need you to leave the house.

  • Upload 1-4 photos - JPEG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, up to 10 MB each. There is a Take Photo button, so you can shoot and submit standing next to the car in a car park.
  • Add the vehicle - make, model, year, plus one line describing what happened ("scraped the rear bumper on a pole, about 30 cm").
  • Read your estimate - a range, a typical figure, and a breakdown of every damaged area the AI found.

The analysis itself takes seconds. Most people are done in under a minute.

How accurate is an AI damage estimate?

Accurate enough to budget with, and honest about where it is guessing. Every estimate comes back with an AI confidence percentage and a per-area breakdown: which panel, what kind of damage, how severe, and the cost split into paint, panel beating and dismantling - the same three lines a body shop quotes from.

When the photos are ambiguous, it says so and flags physical inspection recommended instead of inventing a number. That flag is a feature, not a failure.

It also improves. We compare the AI's figure against the final invoice on completed jobs and retune the pricing matrix from the gap, so the ranges track what we actually charge rather than a generic average scraped off the internet.

What photos do I need to send, and from which angles?

Four good photos beat four near-identical ones. Aim for these:

  • One close-up, 20-30 cm from the damage. Close enough to read depth - whether the scratch has cut through the clear coat into primer or bare metal.
  • One context shot of the whole panel, from about two metres. This tells the AI which panel it is looking at and how big the damage is relative to it.
  • One low, raking angle along the panel. Sighting down the bodywork throws a shadow across dents and ripples that a straight-on shot flattens away completely. This is the single most useful photo for dent work.
  • One from the opposite side if the damage crosses a body line or two panels.

Two practical rules. Shoot in daylight, but not with the sun glaring straight off the paint - overcast light or shade shows damage best. And wipe the panel first: mud reads as damage and dried polish reads as scratches.

What does the estimate cover - and what still needs a look in person?

It covers paint, panel beating, and dismantling and refitting, per damaged area, drawn from our own price matrix. As a sense of scale: a single-panel respray is EUR 100-200 for the paint itself, with dent repair, dismantling and colour blending on top depending on the condition of that panel. A full car respray sits between EUR 1,500 and EUR 4,000. Headlight restoration is EUR 20 for a polish, or EUR 60-80 with UV clearcoat.

It cannot see what is behind the panel. Frame and structural damage, radiator or suspension contact after a collision, rust spreading under a paint blister, and whether a cracked bumper can be repaired or has to be replaced - all of that needs hands and a lift. The baseline figures live on our pricing page.

Is the online estimate binding, and is it really free?

Free, and free in the plain sense: no card, no account, no limit on how many times you use it. Nothing is charged and nothing is owed.

It is not binding on either side. An estimate built from photographs is an indication - the exact price is confirmed once we have seen the car. That works in your favour too: you are not signing anything by finding out what a repair costs. You can download the estimate as a PDF, copy a share link, or have it emailed to you, so you have a written figure to sit on for a week and think about.

What happens after I get my figure?

Whatever you like. Nothing chases you.

  • Ask Garo to call you back with the exact price. He looks at your photos himself before he rings.
  • Send the same photos on WhatsApp or Viber if you would rather type than talk - both are on the buttons at the end of this page, and they are the right route if the AI flagged your photos as unclear.
  • Book a drop-off. Single-panel work is usually 1-3 working days.

If you are outside Nicosia, pickup and delivery is free island-wide for repairs, so the estimate can genuinely be the whole of your involvement until the car comes back.

Why does an online estimate beat driving round three body shops in Nicosia?

Three shops means three drives, three waits, and three verbal figures that quote different things and cannot be compared the next morning.

What you keepThree spoken numbersAn itemised written range, as PDF or a share link

It also answers the question most people are actually asking, which is not "what does this cost" but "is it worth fixing at all". A written range makes that decision in five minutes instead of five weeks of driving past the dent.

Still wondering how it works?

How long does the AI estimate take?

The analysis takes seconds. Allow about a minute in total for uploading photos and selecting your make, model and year.

Can I use photos I took last week?

Yes, as long as the damage has not changed since and the lighting is reasonable. Older photos of fresh damage are fine; a blurry night-time shot is not.

What if the AI cannot see the damage clearly?

It tells you, and marks the estimate as needing a physical check rather than quoting a confident number. Send extra angles on WhatsApp or Viber and Garo will look at them himself.

Does getting an estimate commit me to repairing at Pinelaki?

No. There is no deposit, no booking and no follow-up unless you ask for one.

Can I use the estimate for an insurance claim?

Treat it as a repairer's indication, not an assessor's report - your insurer will work from their own figure. A written, itemised estimate is still useful supporting paperwork when you are discussing a claim.

Try it on the damage you have been ignoring, and see the number before you decide anything. Behind the estimator are 35+ years of bodywork in Pallouriotissa, two minutes from Kaimakli, a 6-year paint warranty on everything we spray, and 70+ five-star reviews from people who started exactly where you are. If you would rather just ask a person, get in touch.
