2K Clear Coat Varnish: The Perfect Finish to Apply After Spray Paints - 1

Description

What Is 2K Clear Coat Spray?

Our professional-grade 2K Clear Coat delivers the most durable, solvent-resistant finish available in a spray can. The included hardener activates a chemical cure that creates a rock-solid protective layer — the same technology used in professional body shops. Available in 250 ml and 400 ml sizes.

Features & Benefits

  • Enhances brilliance and depth of spray paint repairs
  • Rock-solid protective layer — professional-grade durability
  • Superior UV resistance prevents fading and discolouration
  • Solvent-resistant — withstands thinners and industrial chemicals
  • 2K formula with included hardener for chemical cure
  • Choose between high-gloss or matte finish

How to Apply

  1. Prepare: Ensure your spray paint has dried completely (15–20 minutes at 20°C).
  2. Activate: Break the internal seal to mix clear coat with the hardener.
  3. Shake: Shake vigorously for 2 full minutes to ensure thorough mixing.
  4. Spray: Apply 2–3 even coats at 20–30 cm distance.
  5. Dry: Allow 10–15 minutes between coats. Full cure in 24–48 hours.

Important: 10-Hour Use Window

Once activated, the 2K Clear Coat must be fully used within 10 hours. After this time, the hardener causes the mixture to solidify inside the can. Plan your project before activating. If you need a clear coat you can reuse over time, choose our 1K Clear Coat Spray.

Safety

  • Work in a well-ventilated area or outdoors
  • Wear a respirator mask during application
  • Avoid skin and eye contact

Shipping & Delivery

  • Cyprus: FREE delivery to any Akis Express — Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos, Famagusta

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between 1K and 2K clear coat?

1K is single-component — easy to use, long shelf life, but less durable. 2K uses a hardener for a chemical cure that is solvent-resistant and far more durable. Choose 2K for professional-quality results on larger repairs.

Can I save leftover 2K clear coat for later?

No. Once the hardener is activated, the entire can must be used within 10 hours. For reusable clear coat, choose 1K Clear Coat.

Which size should I choose?

250 ml is enough for 1–2 small panels. 400 ml covers a bumper, bonnet, or multiple panels in one session.
