How Do I Order Touch-Up Paint by Colour Code?

Every car leaves the factory with a colour code - a short letter-and-number stamp such as 202, NH-731P or LY9B - and that code, not the colour name, is what we mix your paint from. "Black" is dozens of different blacks, so the colour code is the only way to get an exact match. You will find yours on the VIN plate or sticker: door jamb, under the bonnet, boot floor or glovebox. Then order in three steps:

Not sure you have read the code correctly? Send us a photo of the sticker through our contact page and we will confirm it before mixing anything.

Do You Need 1K or 2K Clear Coat?

Colour is only half a repair - the clear coat over it is what has to survive the Cyprus sun. We stock both types because they are not interchangeable.

  • 1K clear coat (1K clear coat spray) dries by solvent evaporation. Ready to use, no mixing, and the can keeps for months, so you can spray a little today and the rest next season. Right for stone chips, small scratches, mirror caps, door edges, plastic trim and panels nobody looks at closely.
  • 2K clear coat (2K clear coat spray) cures chemically once you break the internal seal and mix in the isocyanate hardener. That cross-linked film is far harder: it resists fuel, brake fluid, bird droppings and industrial solvents, holds its gloss under UV for years, and can be wet-sanded and machine-polished afterwards. Once activated the can cannot be stored, so plan to finish the job in one session.

When 2K is not optional: any full panel you want to keep for years; horizontal surfaces that bake in the sun (bonnet, roof, boot lid); the area around the fuel filler and anything in the engine bay, where fuel and solvents will soften 1K; and any repair you intend to polish flat so it disappears into the surrounding factory paint. Choose 1K for speed and convenience, 2K when durability matters more.

Safety with 2K: the isocyanate hardener is not something to breathe. Spray outdoors or in a well-ventilated space, wear a respirator rated for organic vapours (a paper dust mask does nothing here), add gloves and eye protection, and keep the can away from open flames and other ignition sources. If that is not practical where you live, let us spray it instead: a single-panel respray in the Pinelaki booth in Nicosia is EUR 100-200 for the paint, with dent repair, dismantling and colour blending added depending on the condition of the panel.
